Wonderful place to stop by when passing through Empire. The food is great, friendly staff. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is it's cash only. I highly recommend Dairy King to get a little card reader, and they would make a lot of money since everything else about it is great!

It’s one of three places in Empire to get food. It’s ok. It’s not a Dairy Queen. Soft Serve ice cream is generic. A good stop after coming down the mountain from a long weekend.

Two sandwiches, a French fry and an order of zucchini totaled $50! How? Based on the prices listed it should have been half the cost? When asked why they told us it was a different Dairy King listed online. Odd that the address listed was their location and the prices matched their written menu...We’ve been going to this place for years and we’re pretty disappointed.Update:And the girlfriend just found a hair in her food...how do you upload photos to the review?

Stopped here after a hike. Great, fresh burgers and fries to refuel with, and I really enjoyed my strawberry milkshake. Definitely recommend!

So delicious. I'm super thrilled I'm only 10 minutes away now. The burgers are exceptional the milshakes are dangerously good. If you're driving by and looking for good food at great prives stop here. They however don't take credit cards, but there is an ATM next door. If I didn't care about not weighing a ton I would likely eat here every day.

Stopped by on our way back to Denver from a camping trip up in Winter Park and stopped by Empire Dairy King. It was AMAZING!! awesome staff, short wait time and food was delicious! I highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite places in Colorado!!! It is actually a tradition of mine to stop and get a large twist ice cream cone on the way to my absolute favorite place in Colorado, just up the road from Dairy King. All the staff there are very friendly! They work hard, and fast, and they make your experience that much more enjoyable! Plus the views on the drive are unparrelled. If you haven't made it up to Empire to try Dairy King yet, what are you waiting for?!?!?

My family and I have been stopping here for dinner on the way back from the mountains literally since I can remember. Great food, proper milkshakes, and nice staff!

Best burgers. Wish they were open all year for us locals who drive by when there's tons of people. Then come when they are slow. Maybe just nights on the off season, I bet the locals could keep it profitable

Ive seen this place on the way to and from WP many times. I finally decided to stop in for a burger. Nothing special about this place. 25-30 minutes for 2 burgers, fries, and onion rings to come out. Chocolate milk shake was decent. Next time ill wait til i get home and go to Park Burger or Shake Shack.

The ice cream is fantastic. There are lots of flavors and you can have your ice cream so many different ways. The sandwiches are also pretty dang good. The employees are so sweet. The indoor seating is quiant and the outdoor seating is pretty fantastic. This is the perfect place to stop after a long day in the mountains.

Everything about this place is awesome. The food, the ice cream and the staff. It is a must stop when we are headed to the mountains. If there is a line, it is worth the wait!!

Literally the best burgers and sweet potato fries you will ever eat. We literally drive over an hour just to come to this little hole-in-the-wall and it is 100% worth it. The service is always awesome and their ice cream options are incredible!

Other than raised prices due to virus, this place has some amazing shakes and malt combos! Totally worth it!

Amazing burgers! Great service! A favorite stop when going to or coming from the mountains, great fries, dogs, and ice cream. A big menu but I can't pass up on these burgers and haven't tried anything else. Delicious mouth watering burgers nestled in a scenic mountain valley! 10 Stars !

Great place for comfort food (burgers and fries), ice cream and shakes. It's been on my places to visit for years heading to/from Winter Park! Definitely worth checking out!

Was very busy. Food smelled great. But I'm not sure how it tastes because they only take cash. Even lemonade stands these days take credit cards.

This place is not ADA friendly. We were unable to try the food because we had someone in our party who was on a walker. The temps were in the teens and it was blustery, which only added to the difficult walk to the front doors where there are only steps to get into the building. No ramp access. Once inside, there are more steps to get to the seating and no large tables for a group of 4. One employee leaned on the counter and watched most of the ordeal and just shrugged when we looked at her. We were so put off by the impediments that we turned around and left.

Best burgers and shakes. I've been eating here for five years and I keep coming back.Last time, I ordered a double cheeseburger with no bun, because I'm giving the keto diet a test drive. It was two perfectly cook hamburger patties with pepper jack cheese and a base of large leaf lettuce.The food is always good here, and the service is always amazing. The only thing worth noting, is this is a cash-only establishment. Be sure to hit the ATM before you go.

Small, family-owned, burger joint. They have burgers, fried foods (fries, sweet potato fries, mushrooms, zucchini), ice cream, and shakes! Inexpensive food that is delicious, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. It's a must stop!

Very good ice cream selection, soft and hard with all the cone choices. Also has hamburgers etc. Nice sunny deck outside.

Good burgers, reminds me of in&out(just a little). Bit pricey but not too bad. It's a little tight inside and parking is kinda limited but a good spot to stop at if you are driving through. Really wish I had tried a malt and took pics.

The food is fresh and a ton of it! Well worth the price and the ambiance! Hahaha! It's a small town restaurant with 5 tables. But the food is great and the malts and smoothies are to die for!

Every year my extended family has a reunion in Winter Park, and we often pass through Empire on our way there. Dairy King has become something of a tradition, and we try to make it every year. We've been incredibly pleased with everything they have to offer, from malts or shakes to straight-up ice cream or even their fried foods. I really can't complain, it's just a friendly stop on the highway.
